COMMUNICATION & CONFLICT
Conflict exists whenever people's needs, concerns, or goals appear to be incompatible. By knowing the key attributes of a conflict situation (e.g., the complexity and importance of the issue at hand, the time available for resolving the matter, whether people want their relationship to last), people can learn to select and enact the best style and mode of communication and behaviour to get their needs—and other people' needs—met. Given the great variety of interpersonal, interdepartmental, and international conflicts that are part and parcel of our increasingly fast-paced and interconnected world, it is essential to find healthy ways to approach and resolve conflict in different situations.
The more that people are familiar with this, and also learn how to access the key attributes of any conflict situation, the more they will be able to effectively resolve their differences. We use two distinct assessment resources when providing reinforcment for conflict mitigation and resolution:

- Strength Deployment Inventory / Conflict Sequence (SDI)
